Hunger Relief Advocates

Hunger Relief Advocates (HRAs) are called to serve within their states as advocates, educators, and enablers of action to relieve hunger in America. Their three-fold goal is to:

  1. Bring people into hands-on ministry with the hungry and the poor.

  2. Advocate to churches on behalf of the nation’s hungry and the poor.

  3. Raise funding resources to sustain the HRA program.

Hunger Relief Advocates assist congregations and other groups to become engaged with the poor in their own communities and across the nation.

Each HRA operates a gleaning ministry within his or her state. The HRA program is funded primarily through a partnership with United Methodist Men called Meals for Millions.  To visit the Meals for Millions website, follow this link.

HRAs are currently operating in the states shown in the menu on the right.

If you are interested in becoming an HRA, visit the Meals for Millions website or contact us.
