GLEANING RESULTS

SYCAMORE SPRING ORCHARD

The rain stopped just as we formed our opening circle. The rain started just as we were winding down. Perfect timing! I don’t usually think that God affects the weather, but on Saturday… I don’t know… it was too good to be true.

We had 83 gleaners from 11 organizations. We filled 410 half-bushel bags!

The gleaners came from these organizations:

• Cub Scout Pack 415

• Emmanuel United Methodist Church

• Grace United Methodist Church of Hummelstown

• Lebanon Valley College – Freedom Rings

• Market Square Presbyterian Church of Harrisburg

• New Song Community Church
   

• North Mountain 4-H

• Ono United Methodist Church

• St. Paul the Apostle Church

• Unity Church of Palmyra

• Zion Lutheran Church of Akron

We delivered the apples to these organizations:

• 167 bushels to Central Pennsylvania Food Bank

• 38 bushels to Lebanon County Christian Ministries

They will go to A LOT of needy people in our region! Thank you for your effort!
