South Carolina

The Society of St. Andrew has delivered a total of 2.4 million pounds of salvaged potatoes and other food to the needy in South Carolina through our Potato Project. This has resulted in about 7.2 million servings of food going to South Carolina's hungry.
Gleaning in South Carolina:

Our two South Carolina gleaning offices, located in Swansea and Greenville, come under the supervision of our North Carolina Regional Office.

Gleaning in South Carolina takes place year-round as long as the weather cooperates. Most gleaning events take place on weekends where gleaners arrive in the fields around 9:00 a.m. and are on their way home by noon. The Society of St. Andrew's gleaning coordinator makes all arrangements with farmers and for produce containers and food distribution.
